Hundreds of residents in United Way of Northeastern Minnesota's service area were devastated by flood and water damage in June 2024.
Thanks to the support of local businesses, entities, and individuals, more than $95,000 is on its way to local residents impacted by June flooding through UWNEMN's Flood Recovery Program.
The Flood Recovery crisis funding application is now closed.

St. Louis County Veterans Service Office
- First come first serve process for veterans or the surviving spouse of a veteran to apply for up to $500 in flood relief.
- Not income or asset based.
- Must be primary residence (not a cabin, etc.), and veteran must be the owner of the property or show they were responsible for the repairs per their lease agreement.
- Veteran must provide proof they expended funds on an approved expense. Insurance deductibles are not eligible for reimbursement.
- Receipts and payments cannot have occurred prior to June 16, 2024, and all work must be completed by August 1, 2025.
- Applications will be accepted until authorized funds have been exhausted OR until November 30, 2024, whichever comes first.
