Day of Action volunteers paint a Nashwauk resident's home

Day of Action | June 26 | Chisholm, MN

In honor of our 60th anniversary, United Way of Northeastern Minnesota brought Day of Action to our "headquarters" city!

On Friday June 26, 2026, 240+ volunteers united to complete 48 community revitalization projects across Chisholm, including:

  • Landscaping
  • Window Washing
  • House/Deck Repairs
  • Staining/Painting
  • Accessibility Modifications

Project requests were due May 1, 2026. To qualify, homes had to be within Chisholm city limits, and projects had to be within scope for volunteers to complete in one day. Homeowners were alerted of the opportunity to apply March-May via utility bills, news releases, social media, radio announcements, and more - including several days of door-knocking throughout the community. Thanks to generous sponsor support, UWNEMN was able to purchase project materials for volunteers and homeowners alike!
