United Way of Northeastern Minnesota's United for Veterans Program is proud to share the Veterans Connections program to improve overall wellbeing while building community for veterans and service members in northeastern Minnesota!

Where: Sugar Lake Lodge (37584 Otis Lane, Cohasset MN)
Details: More than 100 veterans, servicemembers, and their loved ones from across the region connected over shared life experiences.
Registration: Registration closed January 5, 2026.
When: April 8, 2026
Where: VFW Post 2948 (1416 3rd Avenue, International Falls, MN 56649)
Details: 13 local veterans, service members, and their loved ones united for Trivia Night. None had played trivia before, and all are looking forward to the next opportunity to do so!
When: June 27, 2026
Where: Hibbing Speedway (1799 E 23rd St, Hibbing, MN 55746)
Details: Local veterans and servicemembers received a wristband for free entry + a concessions certificate.
When: 4-8 PM August 27, 2026
Where: Minnesota Discovery Center (1005 Discovery Dr, Chisholm, MN 55719)
Details: Local veterans, service members, and family members are invited to enjoy the last Bands, Brews, & BBQs event of the season at Minnesota Discovery Center. Explore the museum and grounds - including the mini golf course!

When: 4:30-6:30 PM September 22, 2026
Where: Hibbing Rifle and Trap Club (3946 Marksmanship Center Rd., Hibbing MN 55746)
Details: Local veterans and service members are invited to free target shooting at the Hibbing Rifle/Pistol Club. Participants will be responsible for bringing their own firearm and ammunition. A meal will be provided!

Where: Range Recreation Civic Center, Curl Mesabi (901 Hat Trick Ave, Eveleth, MN 55734)
Details: Local veterans and service members are invited to connect over coffee while learning to curl from Curl Mesabi members.
