UWNEMN is often the first place local people look when they need help.
We are fortunate to have an amazing team of problem solvers on our staff who, fueled by incredibly supportive donors and volunteers - and bolstered by a network of more than 50 impactful agencies we fund and collaborate with - have the knowledge, resources, and capability to help meet community needs.
Our organization also has the benefit of being flexible and nimble. All of our programs are important and doing good in the community, and we are constantly evaluating them to make modifications should we find they are not making meaningful impact.
This combination also allows us to dig into complicated regional issues like youth mental health and dental access and to respond rapidly and effectively in times of crisis like June's flooding.
UWNEMN is also the first place many local people call when they want to help. This is especially true in the case of emergencies - thank you to everyone who has supported our flood relief efforts! And now, through UWNEMN's new GetConnected volunteer portal, those who want to invest time into the community have a central location to find opportunities throughout the year.
This month kicks off our fall fundraising campaign, meaning we will soon be visiting a workplace near you (though you can support our campaign even if we do not come to your workplace!).
This concerted annual fundraising effort is absolutely key to our success. By donating this fall, you enable us to assist critically needed agencies and programs in our service area and magnify our community impact across the region.
We would not be the organization we are without the support of local donors. UWNEMN and our partners are here to help because of those generous people who Give Where They Live!
