United Way of Northeastern Minnesota has joined a national movement to raise awareness about a growing but often hidden population in our communities: ALICE®

UWNEMN's Step Into School program takes qualified Koochiching County students shopping to pick out a new pair of properly fitted athletic shoes for the school year.

Prior to shopping, families and students gather for a community meal where they connect with their local emergency personnel and may even enjoy a ride to the shoe store in a fire truck!

UWNEMN's Comforts of Home program is once again accepting referrals. Appointments can begin in June 2026.

Meet Up and Chow Down is United Way of Northeastern Minnesota's free summer lunch program for local children, provided with support from the USDA and Minnesota Department of Education's Summer Food Service Program.
